The T27 Combat Walker is best known throughout the Junctionworld gate network as a simple, inelegant grunt unit, best suited for wars of attrition and for solving battlefield problems with massed numbers.

Its plain appearance and lack of mechanical sophistication, however, endears it to its maintenance crews and pilots. Though it is able to be configured to a variety of biocodes, the T27 is a favorite of Second Chancers, or Quads, humanoid pilots who have been wounded in battle or the arenas to such an extent that they have suffered the loss of their limbs or other peripheral appendages.

The T27’s HepsaTech control computer is specially adapted to interface with both wireless and hard-plug neural ports, with tactile and inertial feedback sensors giving the pilot as much, or little, sensation as they desire. The T27’s armored hull becomes an extension of their motor system, functioning as a large mechanical body.

The T27’s combat loadout is adequate for a variety of threats to be encountered among the worldgates. The Rejjer-5 Modular Main Weapon consists of a shell-like main receiver, the innards of which can be swapped out with energy relays and capacitors for laser, plasma, or molten-matter-projector systems, or with mechanical feed systems for auto and rotary cannons in the near-universal 76mm AC chambering, with a choice of drum or box magazines. Extra ammunition can be carried on hard points on the hull’s upper shoulders, or in a rack system mounted to the rear hull.

The Rejjer-5 is the traditional main weapon for the T27, but the platform’s wide adoption and modular nature means many custom loadouts can be encountered among various mercenary units. Of special note is the Partlow Arms 28cm Superheavy Revolver Cannon, a sidearm of sorts that hurls cylindrical projectiles the size of a brew-caff can.

Combined with a Rykes heavy vibroblade, a T27 so equipped, commanded by a competent pilot, is deadly in urban and close-in environments.

Additional hardpoints at each arm’s elbow joint, as well as on top of the main hull, enable the T27 to use Raptor main guns, ORUS suit weaponry, and even paired 6.5mm SAWs or 20mm auto shotguns, simplifying battlefield logistical needs.
