SFCAD Forum Up And Running
Hello!
Good news. Alex Neto, a sculptor from Sao Paolo, Brazil, has set up a sister forum for the Yahoo group at SFCAD. It looks great, shiny, and very cool. An open forum for those of you who are interested in creating your vision of the future, and sharing that vision with others.
Here's a little mission statement for the SFCAD forum...
This group is a forum for discussion, feedback, and showing off futuristic designs and prototypes made by professional and amateur artists, digital and otherwise. "Hands-on" Artists, 3D Artists, and vendors of prototyping services, CAD/CAM/CNC, and other aspects of production are welcome to post.
Also invited are those of you out there who are interested in turning visions of the future not just into pretty pictures, but models you can hold in your hot little hands.
Of course, if you've got something related to science fiction, we'd love to see it as well! Show off your latest concepts or model builds for mechs, tanks, starships, fighters, future troopers, or what have you. Pencil, putty, plastic, pewter, or paint, we want you to have an outlet, and meet other folks with similar interests.
Moderated by John Bear Ross and Alex Neto.
Those of you who are already members of the SFCAD group are warmly invited to join the new forum. The awesome logo was designed by Alex. To see more of his artwork, take a look here, at his DeviantArt page...
For those of you who are interested in joining the SFCAD Yahoo group, which is still a great resource for contacts, vendors, and links in the Sci-Fi Concepts and Design community, submit a join request via Yahoo Groups.
Otherwise, see you on the new SFCAD forum!
Best,
John Bear Ross
